iCarpool changing to SmartRideshare

The iCarpool product used for TDM and the site will undergo a rebranding and change to SmartRideshare and www.SmartRideshare.com. This change will happen on November 1st. This change will not impact most users or administrators. Websites and products will continue to work as is and no action is needed from the vast majority of users and administrators.

 

Why is this happening?

  • In January, a new set of real-time ridesharing apps will be launched under the iCarpool  branding. The initial market development efforts will be in and around greater Seattle (parts of King County and some neighboring counties). The market development will be expanded to other areas at a later date and we will explore opportunities with interested partners about expansion. 

 

What will change?

  • All domains refer to “Powered by – iCarpool” in the footer. The footer will change to “Powered By – SmartRideshare” and related links will be updated. Other resources that refer to the iCarpool platform will refer to the SmartRideshare platform.

 

Is any action needed from administrators?

  • No action is needed.
