April 2014 - System Update

The following updates were made to the system to update system calculation factors in the system:

• Smart Transportation Savings Explained document
• Link for “How Do We Calculate” on the home page inside the application
• The actual factors used  by the application

 

As a result of the update, all new trips that are logged will use the new factors. Trips that have been already logged or are trips that were pending confirmation that were recorded prior to the update will use the old numbers.  Individual and network achievements that have already been recorded are not affected by this update.

Thanks for posting this update and description of where the changes will be made (the link in the application's home page and in the application's calculation for "achievements").

Is RideshareOnline going to make any change to the Commute Cost Calculator, based on these updated costs and assumptions?

Yes.  It is our plan to update our AAA numbers on the RideshareOnline.com Cost Calculator to align, but it will need to be fit into our web/communications folks workplans/shedules, so there will be a slight lag from the system update.
