The "Did you know?" section on the home page displays a note that is designed to catch a user's attention and convey a simple message that may strike a chord. I've listed some sample notes we currently display below and attached an image showing the section.
Sample notes:
If you have a 25 minute commute, you spend over 200 hours a year just commuting to work. At an average speed of 200 words per minute, you could read 20 novels over the year in that time.
The average person spends over $7,500 a year on commuting expenses. Carpooling could save you half or more! That could get you 200 gourmet cheeseburgers or a trip to Paris for two!
According to the American Lung Association, over 50% Americans and nearly 37 million children live in counties that have unhealthful levels of either ozone or particle pollution.
I wanted to check if there were ideas and interest in collaborating and adding more notes. I must call out that we may not be able to take all suggestions - but we can promise to review enthusiastically and carefully. So if you are interested, do respond. We'd love to hear from you.
