In June, iCarpool launched a new iPhone ridematching app. In my June 22 blog posting titled "iCarpool's new iPhone all launched; your feedback needed" I indicated that lessons we learn from iPhone app users will help iCarpool update the iPhone app and develop Android and Windows Mobile versions. Thanks to everyone who has provided feedback already.

Staff from WSDOT's Interactive Communications group recently conducted usability tests on the app. Attached you'll find their report.

  • Have you or your customers given the app a try? What do you like about it? What needs more work?
  • Do you agree or disagree with findings and recommendations in the WSDOT report?
  • What do you think would make the app more functional and appealing for your customers?

Now would be a great time to provide comments and influence the next generation of iCarpool apps. As always, the best way to provide comments is to use the Issues Log. Go to the Resources box on the Smart Transportation homepage, click Issues Log template, fill it out and email it to support@rideshareonline.com.
