Reminder: Final conversion of *.rideshareonline.com to *.icarpool.com – Action Required

This may be overkill - but I just wanted to post a reminder on the below item, which was discussed at our last Administrator meeting, as well as a reminder email sent related to the final conversion of database Sign Up and Login links from *.rideshareonline.com to *.icarpool.com where the * represents your domain.

Please ensure you have taken the steps as outlined below if you have Sign Up or Login buttons on your web pages.

 

When RideshareOnline.com was first launched, the application referenced the domain *.rideshareonline.com.  With the addition of more domains, iCarpool converted the address so that all domains use *.icarpool.com extensions (e.g. Rideshareonline.icarpool.com; i-way.icarpool.com, drivelesssavemore.icarpool.com, etc.).  We have continued to support the old *.rideshareonline.com reference, but plan to discontinue support on October 12^th, then our current domain registration for *.rideshareonline.com expires.  I believe the agencies that will be impacted by this are those that link to the version of the system branded as RideshareOnline.com, but everyone should check, just in case.   In order to ensure your customers do not experience a broken link on your agency websites, please update the old *.rideshareonline.com domain reference with the appropriate domain on your agency webpages (usually a “Sign Up” or “Log in” button or drop down menu link).  You will also need to let customers of yours know who may link directly to RideshareOnline from their own web pages.  If the references are not updated, customers will find a broken link on webpages using the old reference after October 12^th.  If you have any questions, please contact me.
