System Update - October

Over the weekend, iCarpool implemented updates to the production and training servers.

Highlights of production server updates include:

• An administrator can now cancel bulk emails scheduled for later.
• Update to the Child Network Report to allow a single month reporting (e.g. January).
• Emission savings widget - The widget code can be downloaded by an administrator and made available for posting to a web page.  A sample is available at  http://totemlakegreentrip.com/ which pulls data from the production server for Totem Lake Green Trips network.  Display is based on network Achievement Statistics in the application. 

 

Additionally, the following functionality has been added to the training site for testing, review and feedback: 

• Bike locker functionality (functionality available to regional administrators under the Benefits menu) has been loaded into the test environment so [e-mail] staff can begin testing the application in anticipation of need to provide support to regional administrators in 2012. Once we are familiar enough with the tool to support, training will be scheduled for interested regional administrators, and the module will be made available in the production environment.  Please feel free to review on your own, but understand that support staff are not ready provide support at this time. 
• Vanpool Riders Wanted Widget. The widget code can be downloaded by an administrator and made available for posting to a web page.  A sample is available at http://rsotraining.icarpool.us/vanpoolseatfinder.html which pulls data from the test server.  The display content was developed based on requirements gathering and iCarpool review of Riders Wanted postings across the state of Washington. We are looking for feedback prior to making this widget available in production. Additional details on widgets is available on another forum posting from Amol.

The Vanpool Riders Wanted/Seat Finder Widget has been added to the production environment.  It is available to Regional network administrators under Settings>Widgets.  Instructions for how to use are available on the page.
