System Update - September

Last night, iCarpool implemented a minor update (which includes a couple of really noteworthy improvements) to the training server (https://rsotraining.icarpool.us/admin/en/Login.aspx).  We are tentatively planning on updating the production environment over the weekend if no fatal flaw issues are identified (e.g. bugs that prevent the functionality from working as intended) through testing.  
If you are interested in helping to test the new functionality, I would welcome your assistance.  If you find any issues, please send them to me at [e-mail] on the attached feedback log.  Initial feedback received by COB tomorrow (Thursday, September 22, 2011) will be used to determine whether or not to proceed with the update.

 

Highlights of updates include: 

1. Incentive processing user interface enhancements with ability to sort and flag requests. – Impact eligibility list where admin can approve or decline. Production environment currently shows 10 user/page and multiple pages and have to navigate back and forth. Have changed to a list format to support sorting and additional records on the page to minimize need for navigation. 
2. Capability to give incentives based on a first-come, first-serve basis. 
3. Enhanced prize drawing capabilities to support larger drawings within the system so electronic fulfillment capabilities can be fully leveraged. 
4. Use the configured display name for the test mail sent from the administration application (similar to the actual email sent out to network members). Test email will have configured value. 
5. For operating vanpools, the "Send Message" should include notes to the primary contact in addition to the driver. 
6. Ensure Move to single driver vanpool popup is usable on smaller displays. 
7. A new report that lists child networks of a network along with program metrics. 
8. A new report that lists all SchoolPool users of schools that are child networks. 
9. While logging trips on calendar, in IE 7 and 8, the From and To addresses in the drop down are not fully shown. This makes it difficult for users to choose locations. Increase the width of the drop down list such that most of the text is shown.
