Hello,

I recently created worksites for about 180 Washington County companies, but now want to explore "upgrading" a company to a network if they want more functionality.

I have found that, in order to do this, I first need to make a new child network under my TMA (say "Acme Network"), then go into my existing Acme Worksite and add Acme Network as a parent.

My hope is that all users currently in Acme Worksite will be automatically transferred over into Acme Network.

The only way I've seen this actually work is when I configure the Network to accept email domains (e.g., @acme.com) - then the users with this domain automatically show that they are in the network. Others without that domain are not included, and are not invited to join.

When I tried it with a passcode, none of the worksite users we transferred over.

Same with administrator approval.

Does anyone know if there's a way to move these Worksite users under the Network, without asking each one to search for it and make a specific request to join? Maybe by creating a report of the worksite users and doing a manual upload into the network?

Thanks so much!

Erika

Have you tried setting it up so that both the organanization email domain AND a passcode works?  That way the only folks that need to enter a passcode are the ones without a work email.  Then maybe the folks already entered will be included int he network.

Let me know if that works.

That's a great idea. I'm still in the practice phase, but want to figure out a good strategy for when I start the networks for our businesses. I've noticed that many people who've already signed up in worksites are using their personal email addresses, rather than company. I think I will need to encourage the local TCs to do dome marketing to their employees to have them use a work email address if they have it, and otherwise to distribute the password.

Thanks Tracy, I'll talk to you in a couple of days!

oh and this may pertain to my question too. It seems that when a user types in their worksite address, rather than searching for their worksite by name, they do not belong to the worksite.

Perhaps there's someone out there smarter than me that can figure this out.
