Welcome aboard, OSU. Great to have you here. I'm one of the project managers who works with folks from Idaho, Oregon and Washington to help everyone make better use of the iCarpool platform and to help iCarpool improve the platform. While I work for the state of Washington, I'm a fan of our partners in Oregon and am enthused that you're checking out the system. There's a lot we can learn from you and other academic communities.

We're working to support collaboration and learning in a variety of ways. This Smart Transportation forum is one example. As you use features of the system please share information, suggestions and questions on this forum so we can all learn from your experiences. The information you provide will also influence system improvements and other efforts to help boost carpooling, vanpooling, walking, bicycling, teleworking, transit, etc. more successful.

You might also find it helpful to know that there are other institutions of higher learning using this technology. For example, Bellevue College is kicking off a major campaign to encourage students and staff to rideshare in the next few weeks. They're using the iCarpool platform to support their campaign. If you want to learn more, you can contact Zach Boucher via Smart Transportation.

In addition, staff from the University of Washington's TRAC transportation center have been working on training materials and tools to help network administrators use the system. The network administrator manual, found on this site, is an example of their great work. They are currently developing their plans for the next phase of work and are looking for feedback on the manual and for ideas from network administrators about tools, training materials or information network administrators might find useful. We'd love to hear your ideas. Contact Amy O'Brien via Smart Transportation if you have some thoughts.
